Ash Tuesday is the bedroom rock persona of singer-songwriter Ashlynn Kilcrease based in macon, ga. When Ashlynn is not rotting in her childhood bed, she enjoys playing guitar on it, as well as finding something to cry about. “I think my music is super specific and customized (like an early 2000s DVD menu) but also vaguely familiar (a cousin you see every 10 years or so), but it’s not like what I’m doing, saying, or whining about hasn’t been done before. It’s cool, however, to finally start hearing these perspectives/experiences from black voices in the indie/alt rock scene.”
